A Journey Across Ireland & Scotland was created for the Launceston Youth and Community Orchestra String Summer Camp. In January 2011 Colin taught the Celtic Fiddling workshop as part of String Camp. The String Summer Camp is an annual event in Ulverstone Tasmania and is open to all age groups and playing levels.

The camp attracted 150 students participating in workshops, rehearsals and master classes honing their skills in violin, viola, cello, and double bass .

Colin’s Celtic Fiddling elective proved to be popular with many students, who were found playing the newly learnt tunes around the camp outside of the workshop.

Colin is classically trained, but prefers to fiddle.  His style has been influenced by the Highlands and East Coast of his native Scotland.

He has taught the Celtic Fiddling elective at each camp since 2007 and will be teaching again at the 2012 String Camp.
